About French Press & Co.

French Press & Co. sells manual coffee brewing equipment for home: French presses, hand and electric grinders, pour-over sets, moka pots, kettles, milk frothers and the small tools around them. It is an edited selection of about 85 products, from 19 € to 1,299 €, for people who brew by hand and want a few pieces that work well. What makes it different: every product page tells you what your coffee touches, and explains why a piece costs what it does.

What French Press & Co. stands for

French Press & Co. is a short list, not a catalogue. Most coffee accessory shops sell everything. We keep a tight selection of manual brewing equipment, and our rule is simple: if we would not put it on our own bench, it does not go in the shop.

We exist for the home barista who brews by hand. The person who wakes up, brews a morning cup and wants it to taste like the café down the street. You do not need thirty products. You need three or four good ones, and the time to use them.

We tell you what your coffee touches. Each product page lists its materials. "Zero plastic in the coffee path" appears only on pieces where that path is metal, glass or wood, checked against the maker's material list. Our Signature French Press, for example, is double-wall 304 stainless steel with a stainless mesh filter.

Premium has to explain itself. When a press costs more than a supermarket one, the page tells you why: the grade of the steel, the build of the walls, the details you feel every morning. We explain the price, then you decide.

Questions people ask about French Press & Co.

Is French Press & Co. legit?

Yes. Payment goes through Shopify's secure checkout, every order ships with tracking, and you have 30 days to return unused items for a full refund. If something arrives damaged, we replace or refund it within 48 hours of confirmation. A real person answers at contact@frenchpressandco.com within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.

How much does a good French press cost here?

Our French presses cost 99 € to 159 €. The Signature Stainless Steel French Press is 109 € to 129 € depending on size, and right now it comes with a free Precision Manual Grinder. For that price you get double-wall 304 stainless steel that keeps coffee hot for 2 hours with the outside cool to the touch.

Is the Signature French Press really plastic-free?

The body, lid and plunger are stainless steel, and the filter is a fine stainless mesh screen with a perforated steel plate. The product page says it plainly: no plastic, no BPA.

What size French press should I buy?

The Signature comes in three sizes: 12 oz (350 ml) for 1 to 2 cups, 27 oz (800 ml) for 2 to 4 cups and 34 oz (1000 ml) for 4 to 6 cups. A good starting ratio is 1:16 by weight, for example 50 g of coffee for 800 ml of water.

AeroPress or French press: which should I choose?

An AeroPress pushes coffee through a paper filter with a plastic chamber. A stainless French press lets the coffee steep in steel and pours it through a metal mesh, which lets the oils through for a fuller body. If you want no plastic in the coffee path, a steel French press is the simpler choice. We do not sell the AeroPress.

How long does delivery take to my country?

Your order arrives 6 to 10 days after you place it, with tracking, in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. We deliver to 26 countries in total. Remote areas and customs can add a few days.

Will I pay shipping or customs duties?

Tracked shipping is free over $75, 65 €, £55, CA$99 or A$99; below that, the rate is shown at checkout in your currency. Customs duties are set by your local authorities and paid by the buyer where they apply.

Can I return a coffee maker if I change my mind?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, if it is unused (never brewed with, washed or filled), complete and in its original packaging. Contact us first with your order number: returns need our approval. Return shipping is paid by the buyer for change-of-mind returns.

What happens if my order arrives damaged or broken?

Email us within 48 hours of delivery with 3 to 4 photos of the item and the packaging. Once confirmed, we send a replacement or refund you within 48 hours, at no cost to you. In the EU and the UK, your legal guarantee of conformity also applies.

Is French Press & Co. a good place to buy a coffee gift?

We have five kits and gift sets from 149 € to 247 €, including The Brew Kit, The Morning Ritual (15% off right now) and two tea ceremony sets. For a single piece, the Signature French Press and the Precision Manual Grinder are the two we reach for every morning.
