Care & maintenance

Automatic cleaning cycles do the heavy lifting. You rinse the milk parts daily.

  • Daily rinse: Remove the milk reservoir and frothing nozzle after each use. Rinse under warm water, wipe dry. Milk residue hardens quickly and clogs the system.
  • Run the clean cycle: The touchscreen has a one-touch Clean function. Run it at the end of each day to flush the internal brew group and milk lines.
  • Empty the drip tray: Check it daily. A full tray leaks and leaves mineral stains on the counter.
  • Descale monthly: Use a citric acid or commercial descaler solution. Hard water builds scale inside the boiler and slows extraction temperature.
  • Wipe the exterior: A damp microfiber cloth once a week keeps the touchscreen smudge-free and the body clean.

Frequently asked

What grind should I use?

Fine espresso grind. If the shot pulls too fast (under 20 seconds), grind finer. If it chokes and drips slowly, grind coarser. The machine holds the temperature and pressure steady, the grind is your only variable.

Can I use oat milk or almond milk?

Yes, but barista-blend versions froth better. Regular oat or almond milk has less protein and fat, so the foam is thinner and breaks faster. Dairy milk froths the thickest.

What does the cold extraction do?

It brews espresso with room-temperature water for a smoother, less acidic shot, closer to cold brew but faster. Good over ice or with cold milk. The extraction is slower, so expect 40–50 seconds instead of 25.

How do I adjust the strength or volume?

The touchscreen menu lets you tune shot volume and milk ratio per drink. Tap and hold a preset to enter its profile, adjust, save. The machine remembers, your morning latte stays consistent, brew after brew.

Does it work with pre-ground coffee?

Yes, but you'll need to dose it yourself into the portafilter. Freshly ground coffee makes a noticeable difference in crema and flavor, especially for single-origin beans.
