Care & maintenance

Non-stick Teflon interiors are forgiving but not indestructible. Rinse after every use, wipe gently, no abrasives.

  • Hand wash only: Warm soapy water, soft cloth or sponge. The non-stick coating scratches easily under abrasive pads or harsh scrubbers.
  • Rinse the whisk separately: Milk residue hardens quickly on metal. Rinse the whisk attachment under warm water immediately after each use.
  • Wipe the exterior: The double-wall stainless steel body stays cool to the touch. Wipe with a damp cloth, no need to submerge the base.
  • Check the lid gasket: Over time, the silicone seal weakens. Replace it when it no longer seals tightly or starts to deform.

What is the difference between heating capacity and frothing capacity?

Frothing doubles the volume of milk through aeration. The chamber needs headroom to avoid overflow. Fill to 5.4 oz for frothing, 12 oz for heating without foam.

How do I switch between functions?

Press the button once for hot foam, twice for cold foam, three times for steamed milk without foam, four times for hot chocolate mode. The indicator light changes color with each mode.

Can I use non-dairy milk?

Yes. Oat milk and barista blends froth best. Almond and coconut milk produce thinner foam due to lower protein content. Soy milk foams well but can curdle at high heat, use the cold foam mode instead.

What voltage do I need?

American Standard is 110V for US outlets. British and European Standards are both 220V but have different plug types, British uses a three-prong UK plug, European uses a two-prong EU plug.

How long does it take to froth milk?

Hot foam takes about 90 seconds. Cold foam finishes in 60 seconds. Steamed milk without foam is ready in 2 minutes. The machine shuts off automatically when the cycle completes.
