Nomad Press Mug
Three brews. One mug.
- Brewed in 4 minutes: Add coffee and hot water, wait, press. The press is built into the mug.
- Warm into the afternoon: Vacuum insulation keeps a morning fill warm for hours.
- 15 oz, 304 steel inside: A steel liner, with a ribbed silicone band for grip.
- Tea too: The plunger keeps loose leaves in while you sip.
A travel mug, a pour-over, and a French press, all in one stainless body. Pop the lid, drop the press, brew where you stand. The Nomad Press doesn't ask a kitchen, just hot water.
The Nomad Press Mug is a 450 ml insulated travel mug with an integrated French press plunger. Add coffee, pour water, press, close the flip lid, and go.

Care & maintenance
Stainless steel is forgiving, but the plunger needs regular attention.
- Disassemble the plunger: After every brew, pull apart the plunger rod, filter screen, and silicone seal. Rinse under warm water to clear trapped grounds.
- Hand wash: The mug body is dishwasher-safe, but the plunger parts are not. A bottle brush and warm soapy water work best for the inside.
- Dry fully: Leave the mug open and disassembled to air-dry. Trapped moisture in the plunger can harbor odors.
- Check the seal: If the lid starts leaking, the silicone gasket may be worn. Replace it, most flip-lid gaskets are universal.
Frequently asked
How do I brew in this mug?
Add coarse-ground coffee to the mug, pour hot water (about 93 °C), stir once, place the plunger on top without pressing, and wait 4 minutes. Press down slowly, flip the lid, and drink.
Is it spill-proof?
Leak-resistant, not spill-proof. The flip lid seals well when closed, but it is not a travel thermos with a full locking mechanism. Keep it upright in the car cupholder.
How long does it stay hot?
6–12 hours, depending on the starting temperature and ambient conditions. Fill with boiling water, and it will still be warm by mid-afternoon. Cold brew stays cold just as long.
Why do I get grounds in my Nomad Press Mug coffee?
The grind is probably too fine. Use a coarse French press grind so the grounds stay under the plunger's filter screen; a burr grinder on its coarsest setting works well.
Which colors does the Nomad Press Mug come in, and is the inside the same?
Five colors: pink, green, white, gray and silver. All share the same 450 ml double-wall body, 304 food-grade stainless steel liner and flip-top lid.
How do I clean the plunger of the Nomad Press Mug?
Pull the plunger rod, filter screen and silicone seal apart after every brew and rinse them under warm water, since they are not dishwasher safe. The mug body can go in the dishwasher, and a bottle brush helps inside.
Press mug vs regular French press: what is the difference?
A press mug lets you brew and drink from the same insulated cup, so it suits the car, the office or the outdoors. The grounds stay in the mug under the plunger, so the coffee keeps getting stronger the longer you wait. A regular French press makes several cups and lets you pour the coffee off the grounds.
What is the inside made of?
The inner liner that holds the coffee is 304 food-grade stainless steel, inside a 201 stainless steel outer shell. The ribbed silicone band sits on the outside for grip.
