Sizes & capacity

Three sizes, one philosophy: a press built to be picked up every day.

12 fl oz · 12 oz The solo cup. 1 mug, every morning.
27 fl oz · 27 oz The shared pot. 2 to 3 mugs, slow weekends.
34 fl oz · 34 oz The full-table brew. Up to 4 mugs, ready when you have company.

Brew ratios

Our golden ratio is 1:15 (1 part coffee to 15 parts water). Coarse grind, just-off-the-boil water, 4 minutes steep.

12 fl oz · 12 oz 23 g · 0.8 oz coffee · 12 oz · 12 fl oz water
27 fl oz · 27 oz 53 g · 1.9 oz coffee · 27 oz · 27 fl oz water
34 fl oz · 34 oz 67 g · 2.4 oz coffee · 34 oz · 34 fl oz water

Water temperature: 205°F · 205 °F. Just off the boil.

Care & maintenance

A few simple habits keep your press looking and brewing at its best for years.

  • Rinse warm after each brew with mild soap. Skip abrasive sponges to preserve the satin finish.
  • Hand-wash recommended even though all parts are dishwasher safe.
  • Disassemble fully from time to time. Unscrew the plunger, lift out the mesh, soak in warm soapy water for 10 minutes for a deep clean.
  • Air-dry upside down on a clean cloth, away from direct sunlight.
  • Store dry with the lid loose so the seals breathe.

Tip from our atelier: a quick rinse the moment you finish brewing is worth ten scrubs later.

Brewing guide

01
Grind coarse

Sea-salt texture. Pre-ground coffee loses 60% of its aroma within 15 minutes. Fresh-grind matters.

02
Heat water

205°F · 205 °F. Just off the boil. Too hot scorches, too cold under-extracts.

03
Pour & stir

Add coffee, pour water, stir gently. Use the ratios table above for your size.

04
Steep 4 minutes

Cap and wait. The full immersion does its work.

05
Press slowly

About 20 seconds end to end. Patience over pressure.

06
Decant immediately

Pour the full press into mugs or a thermos. Coffee left on the grounds turns bitter.
