The Signature Stainless Steel French Press
18/10 surgical steel · Vacuum double-wall · 4-stage mesh · 12-34oz
Grounds in. Water over. The steel sits cool to the touch while the coffee inside stays at temperature for ninety minutes. Press when ready.
The Signature Stainless Steel French Press is hand-finished from 18/10 surgical-grade stainless with a vacuum-sealed double wall that holds brewing heat without warming the outer surface. A four-stage filter mesh traps sediment in layers while preserving the oils. Three sizes. Stovetop and induction safe. No plastic, no BPA, no compromise.
The vacuum does the work. The steel just gets out of the way.

Specifications
Dimensions & weight
All dimensions measured with plunger in raised position. Weight includes full assembly.
Brew ratios
We brew at 1:16 by weight, one part coffee to sixteen parts water. Medium-coarse grind. Four-minute steep. Steady press, no force.
Water temperature: 200 °F (93 °C). Ten seconds off the boil.
Care & maintenance
Surgical steel resists staining, but coffee oils accumulate. A regular rinse keeps the flavor clean.
- After each brew: Discard grounds, rinse the filter mesh under warm water. The vacuum seal means the body stays cool enough to handle immediately.
- Weekly deep clean: Unscrew the four-stage filter assembly, soak the mesh layers in warm soapy water for ten minutes, scrub gently with a soft brush.
- Stovetop use: Preheat gently on low to medium heat. Never place an empty press on a hot burner. Remove plunger assembly before heating.
- Polish preservation: Dry the exterior with a soft cloth after washing to maintain the mirror finish. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.
Frequently asked
What does vacuum double-wall mean?
The space between the inner and outer steel walls is vacuum-sealed, removing the air to prevent heat transfer. The coffee inside stays hot for ninety minutes while the exterior remains cool to touch. It's the same insulation principle as a thermos.
Can I really use this on a stovetop?
Yes. Remove the plunger assembly first, then place the carafe directly on induction, gas, or electric heat. Use low to medium heat to warm water or reheat brewed coffee. The surgical steel construction is built for it.
What makes the filter four-stage?
Four progressively finer mesh layers stacked in the plunger assembly. The coarsest layer catches large particles, each subsequent layer traps finer sediment, and the final micro-mesh holds back silt while allowing coffee oils to pass through. Disassemble by unscrewing the base knob.
Is 18/10 surgical steel different from regular stainless?
18/10 means 18% chromium and 10% nickel. The higher nickel content makes it more resistant to corrosion and staining than standard stainless. Surgical grade is polished and finished to medical device standards, food-safe and non-reactive.
Which size should I choose?
The 12 oz makes one large mug or two small cups. The 27 oz serves two to three mugs. The 34 oz fills four cups or handles a small gathering. Choose based on how much you brew at once, the vacuum seal keeps it hot if you pour over time.
