Care & maintenance

Stainless steel and modular design make cleanup quick, even in the field.

  • Disassemble after every use: The brew head, filter, and tank all separate. Rinse each component under running water, wipe dry. No soap needed unless you're brewing flavored capsules.
  • Dry the filter thoroughly: The 376 micro-holes trap moisture. Shake out excess water, then leave it to air-dry fully before reassembling.
  • Check the USB-C port: The waterproof plug keeps moisture out. Replace it after rinsing, especially if you're brewing near water or in humid conditions.
  • Recharge before long trips: A full charge yields about 3–5 shots depending on water temperature and grind resistance. Top off the battery before heading out.

Frequently asked

What grind should I use for ground coffee?

Fine espresso grind. The 18-bar pump needs resistance to build pressure. Too coarse and the water rushes through, too fine and it clogs the 376 micro-holes. Dial it in like you would for a portafilter.

Which capsules are compatible?

Nespresso Original Line and other 2 in-diameter capsules. The filter adapter swaps in without tools. VertuoLine capsules are too large.

How many shots per charge?

Three to five double shots, depending on water temperature and extraction time. Cold water drains the battery faster. Preheat with warm water if you have access to it.

Can I heat water in the tank?

No. The press does not heat water. Fill it with hot or warm water before brewing. A thermos or camp kettle works well for this. Room-temperature water extracts poorly and tastes flat.

What does IPX5 mean?

Water jets from any direction won't damage it. You can rinse it under a faucet or in a stream. Do not submerge it fully, IPX5 is splash-resistant, not submersible.
