Stainless steel interior, painted exterior, both forgive almost everything except abrasion.

  • Descale monthly: Fill halfway with equal parts water and white vinegar, boil, let sit 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly. Mineral buildup slows heating and leaves a chalky film.
  • Wipe the exterior: Use a damp cloth, no abrasive pads. The painted finish scratches easily under rough scrubbing.
  • Dry the base contacts: After washing, wipe the metal contacts on the kettle base and the charging platform. Water pooling there corrodes the connection over time.
  • Empty after every use: Standing water breeds scale and mildew, especially in humid kitchens. Pour out residual water, leave the lid open to air-dry.
