Care & maintenance

Stainless steel forgives almost everything. The burrs need a monthly brush.

  • Brush the burrs: After every 10–15 grinds, use the included brush to sweep old grounds and oils out of the burr chamber. Old coffee residue turns rancid and flavors the next batch.
  • Wipe the body: A damp cloth on the stainless steel exterior keeps fingerprints and dust at bay. No abrasive cleaners, they scratch the finish.
  • Empty the catch container: Do not leave ground coffee sitting overnight. Oils oxidize and go stale fast, especially in a transparent container under light.
  • Charge before empty: Lithium batteries last longer if you recharge at 20–30% rather than waiting until fully drained. One overnight charge lasts about a month of daily use.

Frequently asked

Ceramic burrs or stainless steel burrs, which should I pick?

Ceramic burrs stay sharp longer and generate slightly less heat during grinding, which preserves volatile aromatics. Stainless steel burrs are more durable under impact and easier to clean.

How fine can it grind?

Medium-fine at the tightest setting, good for pour-over, AeroPress, or a fine moka grind. It will not reach true espresso fineness. For espresso, look at a stepped grinder with tighter burr spacing.

How long does the battery last per charge?

About 30 grinds, depending on the grind size and the bean hardness. A single-dose grind for a pour-over or French press uses one charge cycle. Grinding coarser drains less power than grinding fine.

Can I grind while it's plugged in?

No. The grinder must be charged and then used cordless. It will not operate while connected to USB-C power.

How do I adjust the grind size?

Turn the dial on the side of the body. Clockwise tightens the burrs for a finer grind, counterclockwise loosens them for coarser grounds. Adjust only when the motor is off to avoid jamming the burrs.
