Care & maintenance

The tools that clean need cleaning. Rinse after use, dry upright, replace when worn.

  • Rinse immediately: Hot water through the bristles, squeeze the sponges. Coffee oils turn sticky when left to dry.
  • Dry upright: Hang brushes by the loop or stand them bristle-up. Sponges air-dry flat on a rack.
  • Occasional deep clean: Soak in warm water with a drop of dish soap, rinse thoroughly, air dry completely.
  • Replace sponges: Every 2 to 3 months with daily use, or when the foam starts to tear. The brushes last for years.

Will the sponges scratch glass?

No. The foam is softer than glass and the bristles are soft nylon, safe for carafes, French press beakers, and delicate pour-over servers.

What is in the set?

How do the thin wire brushes help?

Not recommended. Heat warps the plastic handles and breaks down the sponge foam faster. Hand rinse takes about fifteen seconds.

Is this only for coffee gear?
