Aluminum stovetop · Six sizes · 50 ml to 600 ml · Silver
The pot sits on the stove. Water below, grounds in the middle, the cup waiting at the top. Heat builds, pressure climbs, the espresso rises through the chimney with a low whisper. Italian morning, anywhere.
The Atelier Stovetop Moka Pot is the classic Italian moka in cast aluminum, available in six sizes from a single shot to a six-cup pour. The eight-sided body is the same shape Bialetti drew in 1933. The brew is the same dense extraction.
Stovetop coffee, the way Italy still drinks it.

Care & maintenance
Aluminum builds a coffee patina. Do not strip it.
- Rinse only: Warm water and a soft cloth, no soap. Soap absorbs into the aluminum and taints the next brew.
- Dry fully: Disassemble after each brew, dry every part, especially the gasket and the basket.
- Replace the gasket: Every twelve months or when it loses its seal. Cheap, fast, makes a difference.
- Avoid: Dishwasher, abrasive scrubbers, lemon-based cleaners. They damage the aluminum surface.
Frequently asked
Which size for which use?
50 ml is one shot, the morning solo. 100 ml is two short espressos. 150 ml feeds two people their wake-up. 300 ml is brunch. 450 ml is the dinner-and-friends pot. 600 ml is the table size, espresso for everyone.
What grind?
Fine to medium-fine, finer than French press but coarser than espresso machine grind. Pack the basket level, do not tamp. Tamping over-restricts the flow and stalls the brew.
Will it work on induction?
No. Aluminum is not magnetic, induction stoves require a steel base. For induction, use an induction-compatible adapter plate, or choose a stainless moka.
How hot should the stove be?
Low to medium-low. The brew should rise slowly into the top chamber, around three to five minutes. Hot fast extraction tastes harsh and burnt.
Why no soap?
Aluminum is porous, it holds onto soap residue and releases it into the next brew. A simple warm rinse and a soft cloth keeps the moka clean and the next coffee tasting like coffee.
