304 stainless steel · Double-walled · 4-piece filter · 350-1500ml
Counter. Kettle. Grounds. The press sits patient in the middle, asking nothing more than hot water and four minutes. Pull the plunger slowly. Pour.
The Atelier Stainless Steel French Press is built from 304 steel, double-walled all the way through with a hollow insulation layer that holds the brewing temperature. Mirror polish outside, brushed inside, weight in the right places. A four-piece filter, spring-sealed against the wall, retains the coffee oils that paper filters absorb.
No glass to crack. No plastic to scratch. Steel quietly does its job.

Care & maintenance
Coffee oils settle on stainless. A short rinse keeps every brew tasting like the first.
- After each brew: Rinse the filter assembly under warm water, knock the spent grounds into the bin.
- Weekly: Disassemble the four filter pieces, soak in warm water with a drop of mild detergent, scrub the mesh with a soft brush.
- Polish keeps: Wipe the mirror finish dry after washing to prevent water marks. Skip abrasive scrubbers, they scar the surface.
Frequently asked
Is the body vacuum-insulated?
It's not vacuum. The double wall has a hollow air-gap insulation layer between the brushed inner surface and the polished outer surface. Air-gap holds heat noticeably better than single-wall steel, though not as long as a vacuum flask.
What's the four-piece filter?
A spiral spring that seals against the carafe wall, a perforated stainless disc, a fine mesh screen, and a base plate with the central rivet. The four pieces unscrew for cleaning, and together they hold back the grounds while letting the coffee oils through.
Why does the lid have an arrow on top?
The lid rotates to align with the spout. Turn it so the arrow points toward the spout to pour, turn it back to seal between pours. The mechanism keeps the heat in and the splashes out.
What's the difference between the silver and black finish?
The silver is a mirror polish, reflective and bright. The black is a matte powder finish, soft and non-glare. Same body, same construction underneath, only the outer surface treatment changes.
Can I use it for loose-leaf tea?
Yes. The filter mesh holds back tea leaves the same way it holds back coffee grounds. Steep three to five minutes for black tea, two to three for green, then press.
