Care & maintenance
Glass and walnut, two materials. The smart electronics need extra care.
- After each brew: Rinse the glass body with warm water, empty the leaves.
- Walnut handle: Wipe dry, never soak. The digital component lives inside, water exposure damages the electronics.
- Hand wash only: The glass body is dishwasher safe but the handle never goes in the dishwasher.
- Battery: The timer runs on a small battery, replace when the display dims.
Frequently asked
How does the magnetic separation work?
A push valve uses a magnetic actuator inside the handle. Press the button, the magnet releases the seal, the brewed tea drains down past the leaves. Press again to close. No mechanical parts in the brewing chamber, easy to clean.
What does the digital timer show?
A countdown in seconds for the steeping time. Set the duration, the timer counts down, signals when done. Press the separation switch and the brew is ready.
Battery powered, how long does the battery last?
Small batteries inside the handle. Lasts months of daily use, replace when the display dims.
What teas does it work with?
All loose-leaf teas. Set the timer to the brew style: 2 to 3 minutes for green, 3 to 5 for black, longer for herbal. The control is yours.
Walnut handle, why?
Wood does not transfer heat, the handle stays cool when the body is hot. Walnut hides the digital component inside an organic material that ages well with use.
