Care & maintenance
Ceramic burrs last years if you keep them dry and brush them clean.
- Brush after each grind: A small brush (included) sweeps out residual grounds. Ten seconds now prevents oil buildup later.
- No water on the motor: Wipe the plastic body with a damp cloth, but never submerge. The glass jar rinses under the tap.
- Charge every few weeks: Even if unused, the battery holds longer when cycled occasionally. Plug in overnight, unplug in the morning.
- Store open: Leave the lid off when not in use so trapped moisture evaporates. Closed lids trap humidity and turn old grounds into mold.
Frequently asked
What grind size does it produce?
Fixed medium-fine, suitable for drip machines, pour-over cones, and AeroPress. Not adjustable, so if you need coarse (French press) or espresso-fine, this is not the tool.
How many grinds per charge?
About 15 full grinds (0.9 oz each) on a single charge. That is 45 to 75 cups of coffee, depending on your brew ratio. For most daily users, one charge lasts a week or more.
Can I grind spices or nuts?
The ceramic burrs handle coffee beans cleanly, but oils from spices or nuts will coat the burrs and taint future coffee grinds. If you grind non-coffee items, plan to disassemble and scrub the burrs afterward.
Why ceramic burrs instead of steel?
Ceramic stays cooler during grinding, so heat does not cook the coffee oils. It is also quieter than steel and will never rust.
Can I use it while plugged in?
No. The grinder only operates on battery power. Plug it in to charge, then unplug to grind. This protects the motor from voltage spikes.
