Voyager Hand Grinder
Steel conical burr · holds its number · espresso to coarse
Drifting dial, wandering grind.
You dial in the perfect setting, then a few turns later the grind has quietly wandered and the cup tastes nothing like yesterday's.
A grind that drifts mid-bag is what turns a good bean into a guess. The Voyager fixes the setting and keeps it there, because the adjustment lives on a numbered internal click dial and the cut comes from a conical steel burr, not a loose collar that slips. You pick your number, espresso to coarse, and it stays your number. Mornings stop being a recalibration and start being a habit you can trust.
Set the number once. It remembers.

Care & maintenance
Metal and steel are forgiving, but coffee oils build up. Monthly cleaning keeps the grind consistent.
- Daily rinse: After grinding, tap out the grounds, wipe the burr with a dry brush. No water on the burr, moisture causes rust and clumping.
- Monthly deep clean: Disassemble fully, brush the burr with a stiff bristle brush, wipe the body with a damp cloth. Let everything dry before reassembly.
- Wood knob care: Wipe with a barely damp cloth. Once or twice a year, rub in a drop of food-grade mineral oil to prevent drying and cracking.
- Adjustment dial: If the dial stiffens, unscrew the burr assembly and wipe the threads clean. Coffee dust builds up and makes the adjustment sticky.
Frequently asked
How long does it take to grind a single dose?
Around 45 to 60 seconds at medium grind, a little longer for espresso-fine. It is not a rush, but it is not a workout either.
What grind settings does it cover?
Espresso-fine to coarse pour-over. The numbered internal dial clicks between settings so you can find a grind, note the number, and return to it every time.
How much coffee does one fill make?
It is a single-dose grinder, sized for one to two cups per fill, a double espresso or a small pour-over. If you brew for a crowd, grind in batches.
Can I grind directly into a portafilter?
Not directly, the grinder catches grounds in the lower chamber. Pour from there into the portafilter or filter cone. A small funnel helps if your portafilter is narrow.
Does it pack down for travel?
Yes. The crank folds flat against the body and the grinder disassembles for cleaning. Drop it in a pouch or a backpack side pocket.
