Care & maintenance
Mineral buildup and coffee oils dull the shot. A short rinse and a periodic descale keep the pressure clean.
- After each brew: Rinse the brew basket and chamber with warm water, dry before storing.
- Weekly: Run a brew cycle with plain water to flush the pump and lines.
- Monthly: Descale with a mild citric solution if your water is hard, then flush twice with clean water.
Frequently asked
What kind of USB port does it need?
Standard USB. A 5 V power bank, laptop, or car USB outlet all work. The 8 W draw is gentle, well within any modern USB-A or USB-C source.
How many shots per charge of a power bank?
It depends on the power bank capacity. A 10000 mAh power bank generally yields ten to fifteen shots. The brew cycle is short, so consumption is low.
Does it heat the water itself?
It pumps and pressurizes. For best extraction, fill with already-hot water around 90 °C. Some models add a light heating element, the supplier specs here describe a pump-driven brewer.
What grind size?
Fine, espresso grind. The pump pressure works against the puck resistance to extract the oils. Too coarse and the water passes through, too fine and the pump strains.
Travel-friendly?
Yes. The body is sealed and shock-resistant. Empty water and grounds before packing, secure the cap, store dry.
