Tempo Glass Mug
Borosilicate glass · glass straw · no plastic on the brew path
Plastic ruins iced coffee.
You taste the faint plastic of the straw before you taste the coffee, and the morning loses a little of its quiet.
The first sip of iced coffee should taste like coffee, not like the cup it came in. The Tempo is built so nothing plastic ever touches what you drink. Borosilicate glass and a reusable glass straw mean the flavor arrives clean, and a bamboo lid with a silicone seal keeps it that way. Rated from below freezing to boiling, it holds ice without flinching. Your cold brew becomes a clear, ribbed object on the desk, light moving through it while you work.
Just the coffee. Nothing in the way.

Care & maintenance
Glass is forgiving. Bamboo needs a gentler hand.
- Glass body: Dishwasher-safe, top rack preferred. The ribbed texture traps less residue than smooth glass, but a bottle brush reaches the grooves easily.
- Bamboo lid: Hand wash only. Wipe with a damp cloth, dry immediately. Soaking warps the bamboo and weakens the seal.
- Glass straw: Rinse immediately after use. Dishwasher-safe, or use the included cleaning brush for milk residue.
- Silicone seal: Remove from the lid once a week, rinse separately, let it air-dry. This prevents mold in the groove.
- Avoid thermal shock: Borosilicate tolerates temperature swings, but don't pour boiling water into a frozen glass, let it warm to room temp first.
Frequently asked
Can I use this for hot drinks?
Yes, the borosilicate glass tolerates heat up to 212°F. But the ribbed texture makes the mug warm to hold without a sleeve, and the bamboo lid isn't designed for steam venting.
Does the lid seal fully?
The silicone stopper around the straw creates a snug seal, it won't spill in a bag if the lid is on tight. But it's not a travel tumbler vacuum seal. Tilt cautiously when full.
Why glass instead of plastic for the straw?
Glass doesn't retain flavors or odors. You can use it for coffee in the morning and a smoothie in the afternoon without cross-contamination. It also goes in the dishwasher without warping.
What is the purpose of the ribbed texture?
Grip and aesthetics. The vertical ribs catch condensation instead of letting it slip down your hand. They also refract light differently than smooth glass, a small visual detail that makes the mug feel less generic.
Is the bamboo lid durable?
Yes, if you treat it right. Hand wash, dry immediately, never soak. Bamboo warps if left wet. A light coat of food-grade mineral oil once every few months keeps it from drying out and cracking.
