The Barista Care Kit
Coffee gear that lasts is coffee gear that's loved. The press rinsed warm, the kettle wiped clean, the narrow spout swept fresh. A few minutes of care after each brew, and your morning ritual stays the way you bought it.
The French Press & Co Cleaning Kit is a curated set of soft sponges, slim bottle brushes, and gooseneck-spout brushes, cut to fit French presses, carafes, kettles, and the narrow corners other cloths can't reach.
Coffee oils linger. Tea stains settle in. This kit gets to them before they get to your taste.

How to use
Right after brewing, rinse your French press or carafe with warm water. Use the cylinder sponge with a drop of mild soap. Coffee oils lift away in seconds when they're still fresh.
Slide the slim bristle brush through your gooseneck kettle spout, dripper holes, and the grinder chute. Twist, pull, rinse.
Disassemble the press: unscrew the plunger, lift the mesh, soak everything in warm soapy water for 10 minutes. Use the bristle bottle brush to scrub the inside walls clean.
For mesh filters or sponges left in boiling water, use the tongs to lift them safely. Air-dry on a clean cloth.
Care & maintenance
The tools that keep your gear clean deserve a little care of their own.
- Rinse sponges under hot water after each use. Squeeze out, never wring against the handle.
- Air-dry bristle-down on a clean cloth so water doesn't sit at the base of the handle.
- Sanitise weekly by soaking sponges in a 1:10 white vinegar solution for 10 minutes, then rinse.
- Replace sponges every 6-8 weeks for daily use. Bristle brushes last 12-18 months.
- Store dry, away from direct sunlight, with the tongs clipped open so they don't deform.
Tip from our atelier: a quick sponge rinse the moment you finish brewing is worth ten scrubs later.
