The Precision Manual Grinder
Stainless steel · Adjustable burrs · Detachable handle · Brushed silver or black
The manual grinder is a small commitment. A minute of cranking, fifteen seconds of breathing, a brew you tasted before you started it. This is the entry version, burrs, a window, a handle that comes off for travel.
The Precision Manual Grinder is a stainless steel hand burr grinder with adjustable grind size, fine for espresso, medium for filter, coarse for French press. Detachable handle for travel, viewing window for the grounds, brushed silver or black finish.
The crank, the crunch, the cup.

Care & maintenance
Steel grinds taste clearer when dry. The grinder asks for almost nothing.
- Wipe the body: Damp cloth, no soap on the burrs. Coffee oil builds a useful patina.
- Empty after each grind: A brief brush of the chamber keeps the next grind clean.
- Hand wash only: Dishwashers warp the seal and dull the burrs. Warm water, soft cloth.
- Burr life: Steel burrs go ten years on home use. Replace when grind times double.
Frequently asked
How fine can it grind?
Espresso fine. Set the dial to the tightest click before the burrs touch. Test a small dose first, too tight, the handle won't turn.
How long to grind one cup?
60–90 seconds for a 0.5 oz dose. The work is real but moderate, slow enough to feel deliberate, fast enough not to test you.
Can it grind for French press?
Yes, two clicks before fully coarse. The grounds settle cleanly without flowing through the mesh filter.
Why a manual instead of electric?
Less heat in the grind, quieter, travel-friendly, no power needed. Many baristas keep a manual at home for the weekends.
Brushed silver or brushed black?
Same grinder, different finish. Silver hides fingerprints better. Black looks better on a darker counter. Both keep the brushed texture.
