Borosilicate glass · 600 ml · Wooden handle · Stainless filter

Glass shows the brew. The bloom rises, the water spirals through, the dark coffee gathers at the bottom. The wooden handle stays cool against the glass body. Pour into the cup, see the color you made.

The Atelier Pour-Over Coffee Maker is a borosilicate glass carafe with a wooden handle and a stainless steel mesh filter that sits on top. No paper needed, the mesh holds back the grounds and lets the coffee oils through.

Glass, wood, steel. Nothing in the cup but the bean.

Care & maintenance

Glass shows everything, including residue. A short rinse keeps it clean.

  • After each brew: Empty the grounds, rinse the mesh filter under hot water with a soft brush, rinse the carafe.
  • Hand wash: Glass and wood prefer hand washing. The wooden handle should not soak in water.
  • Mesh care: Periodically soak the metal filter in warm water with mild soap to dissolve coffee oils.
  • Wood care: Wipe the handle dry, occasional food-safe oil keeps it in good condition.

Frequently asked

Why a metal filter instead of paper?

The metal mesh lets the coffee oils pass through, giving a fuller body than paper-filtered pour-over. You taste a thicker, richer cup, somewhere between French press and traditional pour-over.

Will I get sediment in the cup?

A small amount of fine grounds may pass through the mesh, similar to French press. Coarser grind reduces it. The sediment settles at the bottom of the cup.

Is the glass safe with boiling water?

Yes, borosilicate glass is thermal-shock resistant. Designed for brewing temperature water around 94 °C without cracking. Avoid direct flame contact and sudden temperature shifts.

What grind size?

Medium-coarse, like sea salt or a touch coarser. Finer grinds will pass through the mesh and add sediment. Too coarse and the brew under-extracts.

Is the wood handle dishwasher safe?

No. The wood handle should not soak or go through dishwasher cycles. Hand wash and dry it after each use to keep the wood in shape.
