Care & maintenance

Stainless steel forgives almost everything. Wood prefers the towel over the dishwasher.

  • Hand wash: Warm water, mild soap, soft sponge. The rose gold finish is durable but not indestructible, skip abrasive scrubbers.
  • Dry fully: Wipe the wood handles dry after washing. Trapped water loosens the wood-steel joint over time.
  • Wood care: Once a year, rub a drop of food-grade mineral oil into the handles to prevent drying and cracking.
  • Avoid the dishwasher: The heat warps the wood and dulls the rose gold. A quick hand rinse is faster anyway.

Frequently asked

What are the exact volumes?

1 tablespoon (0.5 oz), 1 teaspoon (0.17 oz), ½ teaspoon (0.08 oz), ¼ teaspoon (0.04 oz). Standard US baking measurements.

Why wood handles?

Wood stays cool when the spoon sits in hot liquids or rests near a warm oven. It also ages gracefully, no yellowing, no melting, just a deeper patina over time.

Do they fit inside spice jars?

Yes. The handles taper to about 0.6 inches at the narrowest, which fits most standard spice jar openings without scraping the sides.

Will the rose gold wear off?

The finish is PVD-coated stainless steel, not plating. It resists scratches and fading better than traditional gold plating, but heavy abrasion or acidic cleaners will eventually dull it. Hand wash, and it lasts years.

Can I use them for coffee grounds?

Absolutely. The 1 tablespoon measure is roughly 5–6 grams of medium-ground coffee, a good starting ratio for pour-over or French press. The smaller spoons work well for spices or sugar.
